Back in November at The Samantha Sykes Butterfly Ball, Kevin Sabin successfully outbid the competition, for an auction lot, which promised to be a fantastic day at Newcastle United… they were not disappointed.

The day started with the six friends being welcomed by representatives of The Samantha Sykes Foundation Trust, Puma Uk and Newcastle United.  The friends were taken to the exclusive Puma Executive box and given a glass of champagne, which turned out to be the first of many.  Following initial complimentary drinks, it was followed by a pitch side tour and ground tour. The people from Newcastle United were excellent answering questions and showing everyone around.

On returning to the executive box a three-course meal was served, and of course a few more complimentary drinks. At 14:55 the buzzer sounded in the box for the group to take their premium seats, in time for the 15:00 kick off.  Newcastle scored within two minutes, through Kenedy and the place erupted in jubilation, the atmosphere was electric and it did not take long before the crowd were treated to a second goal, again from Kenedy.  2-0 at Half time so back to the executive box for a quick snack… and of course a few more drinks before returning to their seats for the second half.  With the second half, just twelve minutes old Matt Richie added a third for Newcastle, and there was no way back for Southampton.  The final whistle went with a solid 3-0 victory for the “Toon Army”.  Once again it was back to the box for even more food and a well-deserved after match complementary drink or two.

Both Newcastle United and Puma were superb all day and it was made complete when Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles popped in for a photo with the group.

Once Jamaal had left there was a last chance for a few more quick drinks before departing for a night out in Newcastle.

Looking at the video I am sure you can see it was a fantastic day and The Samantha Sykes Foundation would like to thank Newcastle FC and Puma Uk for making this a day that will be remembered by everyone for a long time to come.
